'Wolfman' by John Ivor Jones

I kill, simply because I can.
My time comes will the fullest moon:
then I assume my real face,
bringing mankind into contact
with his "dark side".

My curse is ancient and divine,
a gift of the gods
from another time.

I kill because I must.
Once a month for death I lust,
so take care when the moon is bright
for I must kill that night.

Pity me not, I am beyond such things.
I savour all that hunting brings:
the sense of impending doom
as at night, in wolf form,
I come to you!
